not in seeking new landscapes
but in having new eyes.

About Us
Artizen is an open-access academic journal dedicated to the exploration of fine arts and broader artistic disciplines. As a global platform, we connect scholars, artists, and thinkers, fostering dialogue, collaboration, and the exchange of ideas beyond borders.
We believe that art is not just an expression but a shared language that transcends cultures and disciplines. Through research, exhibitions, and critical discourse, Artizen seeks to illuminate the intersections of tradition and innovation, theory and practice, local narratives and global perspectives.
We invite you to join us in this journey of artistic inquiry and discovery.

Vol.1 Winter 2024
My practice as a painter is guided by my daily meditation practice followed by a process of automatic drawing where the geometric forms and diagrammatic structures in my work unfold. For over a decade I have studied a variety of meditation traditions and techniques and integrate this parallel practice into my paintings that both embody and reveal a contemplative consciousness. Within my process, I translate information from alternative sources and unseen forces into forms that are containers or symbols for meditative qualities of quietude, stillness, and our multidimensional nature. The crux of my work centers around using the language of abstraction to counter the normative states of self and culture that I experience as fragmented and individualist. Through the investigations of geometric forms, I strive to create compositions that emanate stillness and a balanced state.
